Food Testing Laboratory was established in the year 1967 under the Directorate General of Food. The laboratory has the facilities of conducting physical and chemical analysis of food items viz. paddy, rice, wheat, maize, edible oils etc. besides testing samples of the department itself, the laboratory provides testing facilities for other departments as well as private individuals. The testing fees as approved by the Ministry of Finance are shown as below: -
